I see on-line block swaps all the time.
A couple years ago 12 excited Halloween quilters in my local guild
decided to do this Happy Halloween pattern
by Amy Butler, as a swap.
Each of us were assigned a block, made 12 of our block
and swapped them out.
BUT before I go any further....I have a confession!
My block was the "bat" and my good friend, Linda, offered to help me with mine.
I cut them out...she stitched them on herembroidery machine.
I made her a purse in return for the help!
Here is what "FACES" me!
Add some additional fabrics from my stash
and I'll turn this into a Wonky Halloween "FACE - OFF" kwilt!
A fresh, modern "twist" on a traditional idea!
I finally finished quilting this in 2016!
Woohoo, I am making these right now too!! Yours look great!
ReplyDeleteI have this pattern and have been wanting to start for 3 yrs, slow me. I might have to do one block for my grand daughter. great job!

ReplyDeleteThose are so cute....I know what ever you do it will be amazeing. I had wantd to make several halloween pillows with a hand embroidery design on each. I did get one lil witch made. I had wanted to go buy some burlap to use on the pillow...But have't ever go that far. I've kinds jus tlost my sewing mojo right now...Although I have started anotherhand embroidery project...And it is takeing quiet a bit of time to do ..And I am not working on it very much. Oh well good thing about halloween projects if I don't finish and use it this year their is allways next year.
