IN THE BEGINNING, AGAIN

I have a sweet friend expecting his second child.
They have a little boy, almost 3 and I made him a kwilt as well.
 But for the little girl....
Mommy wanted the nursery colors to be pink, gray, cream
and "elephants" in the design

Sew here's the new kwilt!

Love the modern feel of this one.
The pattern is called Peyton and was a free design on the
Bernatex site but I can no longer find the link. : (

Why did I name this kwilt "In the Beginning, Again"
Because on the label I have used the sonogram picture!

I also did this for the little boy and the kwilt because he was first born I called the kwilt "In the Beginning"
The little girl is "In the Beginning, Again"

GHASTLIES FOR MY SEPTEMBER HANDMADE CHRISTMAS!

Here are some GHASTLIES projects
that I have been making as part of a
Ghastlies swap I am hosting

AND
those not used in the swap will be a part of

I can't tell you which is which because my swap partner
just might be reading this!
For sure, some will be Holiday Gifts this year!

I used the Ghastlies Holiday fabrics for these two zippy bags

Fronts

and Ghastlie Halloween prints for this smaller zip bag

Backs

Two Nested Churn Dash (NCD) mini kwilts

This one has the 4 1/2" center block

and this one an 8 1/2" center block
I like this center to showcase more of the Ghastlies fabric

Kwilted with metalic thread...a glitzy pop
using straight lines on the green and a swervy lineo n the pink and black

I see a NCD Ghastlies kwilt in my future...just for me.
I have been hoarding their fabrics for a very long time
and this design is perfect to showcase many of them.

Once more quarter left for this year and

I am also knocking out projects for my 2014 stash bustin' goals
and more projects finished for the

HALLOWEEN - WIP WEDNESDAY

You have probably seen this Amy Bradley Design Pattern

My blocks began as rectangles, done as part of a quilt guild swap
12 kwilters, each made 12 of the ONE block...then we swapped.

I held my breathe and began to cut and sew the wonkiness
into these blocks!  Making it my own quirky design

A few more blocks to add the black fabric around,
Square them up and sew them together.

Are you working on any Halloween projects?
