ReplyDeleteIf I could meet anyone in the world I'd meet my grandparents from my mom's side. They passed away before I was born and I'd just love to get to know them! However, I do believe in life after death so I think I will be able to get to know them!

In the sewing world, I would love to meet Martha Pullen. Oh yes, that is happening next week! I'm going to a MP Event for the first time ever!
I have always wondered about my grandpas that died before I was born. My kids never got to know their grandpas either. It has always bothered my son the most.
At least we were able to tell him about both of them and show pictures.

Congratulations on the milestone. You have a great voice while writing and it always brings a smile, and your quilting is always fabulous. So many cool people if I could meet and chat with anyone? I would love to have met my DH great grandmother, it seems that too often we neglect to learn the stories of our elders, which is our story.

I've just started reading blogs in the past 2 or 3 years so I'm impressed that you've actually had your own blog since 2011. I follow with GFC and Feedly. Your question is a hard one. Generally, I'm not impressed with celebrities. I'd love to visit again with my Grandma - I still miss her and she's been gone 30+ years! But...if it needs to be a living person, I'd choose a quilter. What about you, Kathy, or maybe Amy from Amy's Free Motion Quilting Adventures!!

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who I would want to meet. When I was little I wanted to meet superman and some of the other movie actors, until I found out they were real people and didn't have super powers. How disappointing! Right now I would be happy to meet my next employer.(graduating in may and few calls/interviews)
In the quilting world I would like to meet Marianne Fons and Liz Porter. A number of years ago, it was Fons and Porter on TV who sparked my interest in quilting.

I too would have liked to have met my grandfather on my mother's side. I never met either of my grandfather's because they both passed when my parents were little.
