TWIN BABY QUILTS

Finish Alongs "seam" to be working for me!
I'm giving it another try this QTR over with Katy at
The Littlest Thistle blog.

You can see what I finished for the 1 QTR here

Here I begin...with long arm kwilting....

A couple crib size quilts for "twins"

Jelly roll quilt using Twenty Three fabric from Moda

A Turning 20 Pattern using Bernatex FQs

Another jelly roll design using Moda "Quilt Blocks"

All bundled up and ready to head out and kwilt them on my friends Gammill.
I'm kinda nervous cause a couple I want to try a more modern kwilting design and I'm no pro using the longarm.
Will see what happens!!!

More goals for 2nd QTR will be on a much smaller scale
cause I have gardens calling for my attention!
Will see if I can juggle it all.

Baby kwilt "tops" using these fun fabrics
and I will kwilt them on my home Bernina.

And of course, using up more scraps in even smaller projects.

All the projects on this post are pulled directly from my huge stash...
helping me meet my personal goal of
using up my stash!

SUNDAY STASH - POT OF GOLD

While in Florida during February I found my pot of gold
at The Rainbow's End Quilt Shop (Dunnedin, FL)

I had fallen from grace and off the "no buying fabric wagon"
Sew you can imagine how excited I was to know I could add these to my stash.
FQs for only $1.50 each

Here's the pile I showed you previously

I don't have all the names of the fabrics
because not all FQs had selvage identifiers.
I can assure you all are fabulous manufacturers!

Linking up to Sunday Stash over at Mollie Sparkles!!!

I will be having a giveaway for my 200th post which is
coming very soon!
I can't believe it in just 2 years...200 posts!
Here is a little tease for the prize..

and I'm happy to say....
 13 completed projects in all!

The Ghastlies "Portraits"
 Swirly Girls pattern "Perfect 10"
Alexander Henry fabrics with some of my stash
for this lap size beauty!

I had  fun kwilting this one on my Bernina

And my own design using Alexander Henry "Hocus Pocus" as the main fabric with some other Halloween stash fabrics
for this lap size spook-tacular finish!

Vertical straight line kwilting all across and some
black lacy spiderwebs for embellishments!

I finished this queen size kwilt for my sister, Ruth
and delivered it to her in Florida.
Turning Twenty Pattern is one of my favorites for
show casing great fabrics.

One of my personal goals is to use scraps and make some smaller projects each month

Check out my fabric covered journals

How bout a thread catcher for my sewing table.
I added the tab across the back to hold
little scissors, seam ripper, ruler

I finished a "charming" WIP. 2 years ago it began as a purse but I decided I needed a table runner instead.

Working on my modern kwilting designs.

and I finished two mug rugs/candle mats

to go in my newly decorated master bedroom
I made the bed runner and pillow using these fabrics (but they were completed last fall)

and a tote bag for me.

30/30 CHALLENGE WRAP UP

Those who know me, know I am not a selfish person.
I am always giving of away "stuff", volunteer at many places
and am happy to share my blessings as often as I can.

However, this month of SELFISH sewing, just for me was fun!
I had plenty of things I kept putting back on the shelf,
sew I could make something for someone else.

Here's my selfishness one last time.

I had hope to use this fabric to make a bag...didn't happen.

But I did finish this bag from my WIPs!
Have NOT found the perfect button yet for the front.
Sew a bag is a bag is a bag...right?

Made these "Pick up Sticks" blocks in February
while I was running around Florida.

and finished this lap size top for the challenge

This 2wenty Thr3e jelly roll was rolling around my stash for a while and with a few changes to the Play A Card Pattern

I made this lap size top!

I had all the blocks done for this Turning Twenty Pattern
top "before" March , so this was a quick finish.

I also made backs for all 3 of these tops to be machine  Kwilted (by me) in April.

I did have a few days that I barely squeaked in the 30 minutes
cause I was a bit under the weather.   Found some WIPs to finish.

A "Spring" table runner

two mug rugs

and I sorted some stash to sell on my Etsy shop,
Sew, I think that counts as selfish time.

Thanks sew much to Sarah at Berry Barn Designs for
hosting the challenge.
Just click here today and see the wraps ups for everyone who participated.

And now I'm off to make something for someone else!

30/30 CHALLENGE

Finished the "Play a Card" top this week
I deviated from the pattern....cause that's how I roll.
Did not add two vertical rows
Added a piece to the top or bottom of each
vertical row, so there is a staggered horizontal look.

I found a low volume stripe in my stash for the binding
...the solid border just didn't do it for me.
I also have enuf of this stripe for the backing.

I will long arm kwilt this one next month and
hope to have much better photos...
I still need a better camera!!!

I found a couple small WIPs to finish up.

Mug rugs/candle mats for my master bath

Put binding on a table runner
which will look good on the deck this summer
but is hanging out on my kitchen island for now.

Fun wavy line kwilting!
