I used a couple different designs from some patterns I have

ReplyDeleteOhh. These are all great. Love the thread catcher. And you know I love journal covers...lol....lots of love for it all.
ReplyDeleteBoth are cute projects. I really like the journal cover. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe comma journal cover looks great, I love how the scrap strips are set on an angle.
ReplyDeletethank you for the tutorial, I have to buy some fabric today for 2 quilts but promise will not buy any extra, have pulled out of my stash what I can use but need 4 metres of a contrast to make the quilt and 2.75 metres for the background for hexie BOM
ReplyDeleteI love the journal cover! Look at you over-achieving :)
ReplyDeleteOh I am "sew" with you Kathy! I made myself a goal/resolution to NOT buy fabric this year either. I didn't buy much last year, except for flannel to make my grandson some jammies. I love using scraps too. So this is the year to use as much as I can. Of course i cannot help it if I win a giveaway of fabric or receive a gift wrapped in fabric, but I am NOT buying any fabric! I'll be checking in with you throughout the year to see if you are still on track. You better keep me in line too, lol!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Love the journal cover and the thread catcher. I think that Comma is one of my favorites too. I have a bundle just sitting waiting for a project that screams USE ME!
ReplyDeleteI love the thread catcher--making one of those has been on my list for a while, but I keep waiting for my kids to be old enough not to steal it, haha.
ReplyDeleteLove the journal cover!

ReplyDeleteI love the comma fabric too! Someone recently gave me a thread catcher/pin cushion like yours. Man is that bugger useful or what? who knew?
ReplyDeleteThis is the year of 'the scraps'! One of my goals this year too! Love your projects!
ReplyDeleteGreat job of staying on track with those goals, Kathy! Your projects are all sew cute and the pictures are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the tutorial. That's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your goals! I'm trying to avoid buying fabric unless I need it for a specific project and I'm finding that I don't have a stash that can support making full sized quilts without supplements. It's certainly making me think about how I buy fabric. Cute journal cover!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix of colors on the journal cover, they look perfect together! I have yet to be so lucky in mixing colors, still learning.
ReplyDeleteI love those type of thread catchers and the journal covers are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! Love Comma! I need to make a thread catcher, love your customizations.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I love your thread catcher! I need one of those! Your journal cover is lovely too!
