I will share 15> quilts and talk about my quilting journey, The who, what, when and how it began. A 30+ year journey with feet planted in traditional designs, transitions to a love for modern quilting esthetics. Lots of stories and laughs to keep you entertained and inspired
Let’s Get Wonky!
I will show you transformations of traditional blocks - making them WONKY. Let’s break the rules, toss in some sass and put a modern spin that's found outside the normal sewing box. A discussion about quilting styles thru the ages and what makes me a Modern Traditionalist. I’ll show block examples that may just open a new world of concepts to your quilting style. I will share many of my personal quilts and show you where and how the Wonky happens.
A GHASTLIE Queen’s Journey
I will share my personal collection of Ghastlie quilts and Ghastliness that began in 2009, from buying the first piece of Ghastlies fabric to displaying my projects in the Alexander Henry Quilt Market Booth I am truly honored to have a quote about my work from the artist and designer, Phillip Deleon, ‘Kathy is the maker who can show other makers how to use the Ghastlies fabrics’. The Ghastlies are indeed, my favorite Halloween family.
