TOPPING OUT FOR CHRISTMAS!

I am a bit "over the top" with my collection of
antique tree toppers

I usually display them on brass candlesticks with
a string of white lights and greenery.

This year...I put them ALL in a tree to
light up a corner in a dark hallway.

I began by wrapping the branches to hold
the toppers in place

and added my collection of Faeries

and butterflies

This obsession began with this 50s
red tree topper stuffed with white fiber and little bells
It belonged to my mother-in-law, June Murphy

Let me share a few more of my faves!
Look closely this blue topper has a gold scene
of Bethlehem and the Wisemen on their Camels

My BFF Shirley, gave me this antique Santa...
(and I still can't believe it because she collects
SANTAS and TOPPERS)
Look at that face!

Shirley and I were antiquing when I found
this gold harp topper...wrestling match ensured
...it's on my tree!

This glass topper, newer in age, was a gift,
but oh how it glistens

This red topper reminds me of one we had
when I was a little girl

I wonder what this faerie is thinking?

My Christmas Bargello Wall Hanging
makes a nice addition to the corner.

Next time you see a beautiful tree topper...
I hope you think of me!

OWL HAVE A MERRY ONE!

OWL have me a Merry Little Christmas
with this "owl" tree.

A skinny tree in the corner of the foyer.
added some grapevine garland
and flocked, pine cone picks

Then comes the "Burlap and Bling"

Picks always give great dimension to a tree
These have burlap and berries...

The topper is "up there"
and easy to assemble if done first!

Owl ornaments in all shapes, sizes, textures
are ready to hang!
I spy a Charley Harper Owl ornament!

I just kept adding more and more to the tree
til I felt "nocturnal"

My dining room is adjacent to the foyer
so I blinged up my family of owls who live
atop my china cabinet...year round!

another post will show you what I put in the cabinet.

Have you started your decorating yet?

JUST CRIMINAL!

Criminal Minds IS my favorite TV Drama.

The unsub package I received for the Criminal Minds Swap
came from Anett Edwards, Capetown, S Africa.
Check out the threadwork for Aaron Hotchner mini quilt.

Other items included a pouch,
the beautifyl blue fabric - made in Capetown.
Postcard provides a view of a place I will never see.
Always enjoy some yummy candies.

Happy Mail...quite CRIMINAL this time!
